BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:MFA Housing New Mexico Events VERSION:2.0 METHOD:PUBLISH BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY;CHARSET=utf-8:You may have missed the webinar training on this important topic in August so NMCEH is offering it again. In 2012 and 2016 HUD published new rules to ensure that HUD's housing programs are open to all eligible individuals and families regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status. The regulations require that HUD programs grant equal access to their housing programs and shelters in accordance with the individual's gender identity and in a manner that affords equal access to all types of families. The scope of this rule may surprise you. The Coalition is hosting a 45 minute webinar to help programs understand these Equal Access to Housing Rules and how to implement them. Coalition staff will make a short presentation and then we will have an interactive discussion. This training is primarily for Emergency Solutions Grant and Continuum of Care projects, but anyone who works with people experiencing homeless ness is welcome to attend. The training will be offered via webinar but we ask that participants will gather together in one location per community. In Las Cruces, participants will meet at the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope (999 West Amador). In Santa Fe, we will meet at the NMCEH Santa Fe office (440 Cerrillos Road). We will organize additional meeting locations as people register. If you would like to attend please email Hana Gosset (hana-g@nmceh.org) with: Your name Your organization The city/town where you are located Please register no later than Friday December 8, 2017.
