Recovery Housing Program FAQ: Questions and Answers
Please be advised that the question submission period is now closed.
Question:
Can RHP grant funds be used in whole or in part to repair an existing structure purchased by the agency or to construct new structures once the land is purchased?
Answer:
No, RHP grant funds are limited to the Acquisition of Real Property; funds can only be used for the purchase of a property.
The Agency is responsible for securing additional funding to repair an existing structure or construct new structure(s) once the land is purchased. In addition, the agency must develop a plan and demonstrate the agency’s capacity (programmatically and financially) to ensure the property is placed into Recovery Housing Service according to RHP program requirements.
