Targeted Area Census Tracts

MFA encourages lenders, REALTORS, and other partners to utilize its homeownership products in difficult-to-serve areas. MFA increases income and sales price limits for eligible borrowers purchasing a home in these areas, which are called Targeted Area Census Tracts. Census tracts are neighborhoods in which at least 70 percent of the households earn no more than 80 percent of the statewide median income.If you want to know if a property is located in a Targeted Area Census Tract, click on the counties highlighted below to see maps of these areas.

Program Limits For Federally Targeted Areas

Household income and purchase price limits apply to specific census tracts located within certain areas of the state referred to as "targeted areas." These targeted area census tracts are listed below. Homebuyers purchasing homes in these areas do not have to be first-time homebuyers. All other program guidelines apply.
