MFA Names Lizzy Ratnaraj as Chief Financial Officer

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) is proud to announce that Lizzy Ratnaraj, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with nearly a decade of experience managing finances, compliance, and collection for large-scale organizations, has been named the organization’s Chief Financial Officer.

“We’re thrilled to welcome such a talented professional to the MFA’s executive team,” said Executive Director/CEO Isidoro Hernandez. “Lizzy brings the wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to help MFA continue to grow and thrive.”

As part of MFA’s executive leadership team, Ratnaraj will oversee the organization’s assets and all activities within the finance division, including the finance, servicing, and accounting departments. Ratnaraj will also work directly with the executive leadership team to advise on organization-wide policy development and oversee all external audit processes.

Ratnaraj holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Madras and a Master of Business Administration degree from New Mexico Highlands University. Ratnaraj has also been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2011.

Before joining MFA, Ratnaraj served as CFO at New Mexico Legal Aid and The New Mexico Department of Finance Administration. Ratnaraj also served in the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department, where she first started as an Auditor and was progressively promoted to Director of the Audit and Compliance Division.

“I am honored to be part of the MFA Executive Team that makes excellence the habit of the organization, and I look forward to aiming for the remarkable and not settling for routine,” said Ratnaraj.
