Purchasing a Home in a Targeted Area

Homebuyers using the FirstHome program to purchase a home in a targeted census tract will receive enhanced benefits, including a waiver of the requirement to be a first-time buyer. Additionally, higher income and purchase price limits are allowed, and the homebuyer will be given the lowest interest rate that was offered for the same loan type during the past 12 months. Your loan officer will be able to help you use the tool below to look up a specific property address and will also obtain a special rate quote when the time comes.

Income and sales price limits are increased for eligible borrowers who purchase homes in specific areas called Targeted Area Census Tracts. Targeted tracts are neighborhoods in which at least 70 percent of the households earn no more than 80 percent of the area median income.
