State of New Mexico Homeowner Assistance (HAF) Draft Plan Feedback

The State of New Mexico and MFA are soliciting feedback on the State of New Mexico Homeowner Assistance (HAF) Draft Plan. MFA prepared this plan to propose programs for the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Homeowner Assistance Fund that was passed as part of American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. These programs aim to mitigate financial hardships associated with the COVID-19 health crisis, including the prevention of homeowner mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities or home energy services, and displacements of homeowners. Please note that MFA is awaiting additional guidance from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Therefore, aspects of the plan may change upon release of the additional guidance.
