Landlord Incentive Programs

Landlord Collaboration Program (LCP)

The Landlord Collaboration Program supports landlords to say “yes” to young adults connected to youth service providers who are at risk of homelessness and encourage successful tenancies. New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families (CYFD), in partnership with Housing New Mexico, and other youth service providers, are happy to offer certain remedies for use by landlords who meet eligibility requirements.

Landlord Engagement Program (LEP)

The Landlord Engagement Program encourages landlords to say “yes” to City of Albuquerque Continuum of Care permanent supportive housing voucher holders and supports successful tenancies. The City of Albuquerque and New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness (NMCEH), in partnership with Housing New Mexico, are happy to offer certain remedies for use by landlords who meet eligibility requirements.

Rehab-2-Rental Program

Housing New Mexico, in partnership with the State of New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, has announced the availability of funding under the Rehab-2-Rental program. The goal of the Rehab-2-Rental program is to increase housing stability for tenant-based housing voucher households. To achieve this goal, Rehab-2-Rental’s objectives are to expand housing opportunities and enhance the quality of the housing stock for tenant-based housing voucher holders in New Mexico by bringing below-standard rental properties up to housing quality standards.

Statewide Landlord Incentive Program (SLIP)

The Statewide Landlord Incentive Program provides landlord incentives, wherein landlords renting to eligible housing voucher holders can receive payments for claims. Housing New Mexico, in partnership with the State of New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, proposes an approach to assisting landlords and increasing the number of rental units that are safe, sanitary and healthy for housing voucher holders, including, but not limited to, Emergency Solution Grant Rapid-Rehousing and Homelessness Prevention, Linkages, Housing Choice Vouchers, and other housing voucher programs issued at the federal, state, or local level.
