Evictions for homeowners with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD mortgage loans have been suspended through September 30, 2021. This is not an extension of the foreclosure moratorium which ends July 31, 2021. So homeowners cannot be evicted, but their lender can initiate foreclosure beginning August 1, 2021. While this is good news, it is very important to get in touch with MFA as soon as possible when you start having trouble making your house payment.
