ACTION REQUIRED - LENDER TECHNOLOGY NOTICE & CERTIFICATION (IT) - Notice 3 of 4
PLEASE FORWARD THIS MEMORANDUM TO THE APPROPRIATE PERSONNEL WITHIN YOUR ORGANIZATION.
MFA is pleased to announce that we are upgrading our current technology. More specifically, the Internet Loan Reservation System (ILRS).
The new platform rollout is tentatively scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2019. The purpose of this memorandum is to provide participating lenders with advance notice in an effort to limit interruptions in reserving and uploading information to MFA via the ILRS. Additional details will be released in coming months.
All Lenders requesting to participate in MFA’s Loan Programs must be able to access MFA’s new client portal PowerLender (“PL”). Lender’s internal securities must accept Java, Internet Explorer, PowerLender and NX Web Companion.
Access to PL:
The hardware and software requirements and recommendations for the MFA’s Hosted PowerLender Loan Reservation System and Portal are listed below:
System Component | Minimum | Recommended |
Workstations/Laptops |
Pentium-Class PC 1.8 GHz w/ 1.0 GB RAM | Dual Core processor w/ 2.0 GB RAM |
Workstation/Laptop Operating System |
Windows 7 Linux Desktop OS |
Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 Linux Desktop OS |
Browser
|
Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 JRE 1.8 |
Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8 or higher |
Access to print, enter data, lock loans, view and pre-closing conditions:
To avoid the firewall blocking ILRS, PowerLender requires port 22 to be opened outbound to the server at https://mfa.powerlender.com (184.173.181.73). This acts as a remote access and encryption solution to better secure all data in transit.
System Training:
MFA will host various training webinars prior to implementation. Stay tuned for more details and dates.
Hosted PowerLender Security FAQ:
Refer to the table above regarding the browser set up for hosted PL system.
Signed Certification – Action Required:
MFA requires that all participating lender’s authorized Information Technology Officer complete and submit the MFA PowerLender System Requirements Certification (“Certification”).
Lenders will not receive log in credentials for implementation if the Certification is not submitted prior to December 31, 2018. Post implementation setup requests will be processed in the order that they are received.
By submitting this Certification you are acknowledging that you have reviewed the technology requirements listed, and that if approved as a MFA Participating Lender, you will be able to install on each authorized users computer the required technology needed to access the ILRS prior to originating MFA Loans. Please submit Completed Certifications no later than December 31, 2018.
Note: Only one submission is required per MFA Participating Lender.
