False Email Circulating Offering Promotional Rates

Dear Participating Lenders:

It has been brought to our attention that an email is circulating indicating New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) is offering a discounted rate if loans are locked before February 14, 2025. Housing New Mexico (HNM) / New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) does not use promotional offerings in our program advertising. As the state’s housing authority, all eligible borrowers will receive equal treatment. Therefore, we would also never grant a single lender promotional rate outside of our daily published rate. The use of New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) or Housing New Mexico in any advertising without prior approval is strictly prohibited.
