New Optional Review Process for HomeForward
Dear Participating Lenders:
Housing New Mexico | MFA is pleased to announce that our new automated review system, HomeForward Decision Engine, which will become available on Monday, April 13, 2026.
The HomeForward Decision Engine is Housing New Mexico’s first step toward loan approval automation and will be accessible to all users with access to PowerLender. We would like to point out that the use of the HomeForward Decision Engine is completely optional. Lenders may also continue to submit HomeForward loan files for review as they currently do.
A training video is now available in the Training Materials section of the PowerLender Portal. All participating lenders are asked to review this video, as it outlines important internal steps to complete before using the HomeForward Decision Engine.
Watching the training prior to conducting a review is essential for achieving accurate automated results and is required to ensure proper use of the system.
