Single Section Manufactured Housing Restriction Overlay Removal

MFA is making changes to its single-family programs to include single section manufactured housing.

Effective October 1, 2022, MFA will accept any single section manufactured home which meets current Agency or Government-Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) guidelines for Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Fannie Mae (FNMA), Veterans Administration (VA), HUD Section 184, or the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). According to Agency and GSE guidelines, the home’s title must be deactivated, and the home must be fully assessed as real property at the time of purchase.

Please refer to current Agency or Fannie Mae about factory-built homes programs and current guidelines. Lenders are solely responsible for delivering a salable loan.
